A historic gathering of dominatrixes and artists on Lake Como opens a new era of female-led erotic creativity.

Aetas Deae has officially taken its first breath in Lake Como. For ten days, a collective of dominatrixes, artists, and ritual practitioners gathered to create female-led erotica, explore intentional D/s, and inaugurate a sacred space devoted to the Divine Feminine. What unfolded was transformational.

Some of you will know that I have been diligently working towards opening a space on Lake Como in Italy.  Most you will know, and all should know, that my life purpose is the worship of the Sacred Feminine, and a total commitment to ending Patriarchy and ushering in a new area which centres women.  Womanism is perhaps a better word for this more-than-philosophy.  I call it Aetas Deae, Latin for the “Age of the Goddess”.

Opening the Temple on Lake Como

Well, the space is open.  Five professional dominatrixes and one professional submissive convened in celebration to inaugurate the space, to channel the Divine Feminine, and to produce content and images for your viewing pleasure.

Creating Erotica for the Female Gaze

The genesis of the idea this time around was to create erotica for the female gaze, by women, for women.  This is an ongoing project and exploration that we are working on.  If this is a topic that interests you and would like to get involved, especially if you are a filmmaker or artist, are queer and/or FLINTA, please drop me a line.

Now, as the dust settles, I am left with a sense of unreality.  The bizarre and wonderful circumstances that led to all of us meeting, converging, and the sense of openness and trust in each other was sublime.

Following a successful shoot week in June in Italy, which you can read about here, it seemed sensible to just trust the process and let things unfold.

My tendency to invite more people than there is capacity for, also in play last time, worked out once again, as invariably schedules and plans change, and in the end, the way things fell into place was just perfect.

Behind the Scenes: The House, The Chaos, The Magic

TBH I was terrified that something would go wrong with the space.  Set in an ancient village on the shores of Lake Como, in an old stone house, this project has been long in coming.  The house, abandoned for 50 years, needed everything.  New roof, facades, shutters, windows, a complete electrical installation from scratch, gas for heating and the stove, and of course, there was no plumbing.

Family and friends “camped” in the house over the summer mostly discovering big and challenging problems, but the boiler only came online in October for the first time…and even after the first guest arrived we had electrical blackouts, boiler shut down, etc.  Each time, I went into a silent tailspin, fatalistic me kicking in…but in the end, everything flowed smoothly and we stayed nice and warm, ate yummy food, created like crazy, and had hella fun.

The Alchemy of Collaboration

The individual uniqueness of each person fascinates me, but it is the chemistry in group which is pure alchemy.  We become more than our individual talents.  Four among us were/are professional/amateur photographers (I place myself in the most amateur box), which created a hilarious paparazzi dynamic as we shot each other.

As a former model, I’ve been on shoots starting as a teen in fashion (ie. for decades) and know how much time it takes to get off iconic shots, and how few you get for the time spent.  But this group of women between phones and high-spec cameras, together produced a volume of incredible images that should set the internet on fire.

Meet the Goddesses

I still can’t quite get over the beautiful chemistry which emerged between all of us, through contribution, ideas, effort, creative spark…

• “Strawberry” aka “knotty berry” was our collective sub.  I think sub heaven would be to have the undivided attention of five dominatrixes over a period of nearly a week.   Bliss.  Spankings, rope, and the general dynamics of submission offered up a sustained sub-space experience and a special place in each of our hearts.  Anyone who calls me ‘Mommy’ is on the express train to my heart.  You can find her on Instagram @knottyberry_ and Twitter @berry_knot50382.

Why This Space Matters

This was not a one-off.  It was an Opening Ceremony of something bigger.  We inaugurated a space.  We established an energetic opening in a village on the shores of one of the most beautiful places on earth.  We proved to ourselves the kind of alchemy which just emerges when people work together in support of each other, in community, without ego, and just create.  Best of all?  We had fun.

Upcoming Events and How to Join Us

What’s next?  For the balance of this year, we will be planning and continuing to work on this space and additional spaces in this village.  And over the next year we will be hosting a series of events.  A taster:

• February: Femdom Ski Weekend in the Italian Alps…come and serve us in a chalet and enjoy a divine alpine experience with total lifestyle submission
• March: Women’s photo shoot and retreat on Lake Como for sex workers and content creators.
• June: 3 night, 4 day full immersion in Ritual Kink.  This is a full-on, high protocol femdom retreat on Lake Como.  Applications and interviews are required, and it will be a high-end experience.  Spaces will be strictly limited and this is expected to be the beginning of every participant’s lifelong commitment to an exploration of D/s in their lives.
• Ongoing: shibari training for FLINTA riggers taught by FLINTA instructors, photo shoots for sex workers, wellness retreats, yoga, breathwork, energy work, cooking and nutrition, unplugging.  Schedule TBA.
